As we expand our reach and enhance our offerings, we are seeking an enthusiastic and driven Insurance Product Manager to become a pivotal member of our Workers Compensation team. This is a role of significant visibility and collaboration, providing you with the platform to make a substantial impact by delivering high-quality products to diverse small businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary authority on analyzing our workers compensation product, managing analytics across various verticals to identify opportunities for growth and profitability.
- Conduct thorough industry research and competitive analyses to refine our position within the workers compensation market.
- Share in the responsibility for the growth and profitability of our insurance product line by offering insights that will guide our expansion into new markets and customer demographics.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales Distribution, Technical Product, Engineering, Data Science, Claims, Compliance, Customer Operations, and Legal.
- Represent our line of business to both internal stakeholders and external partners, such as reinsurers and agents.
Required Skills
- Over 5 years of experience in workers compensation insurance, particularly in product management, underwriting, or actuarial capacities.
- Familiarity with the small and medium-sized business (SMB) sector.
- Proven capability to work alongside insurance analytics teams to pinpoint improvement opportunities and suggest growth strategies.
- Strong analytical expertise and a background in data-driven decision-making processes.
- A customer-focused mindset, coupled with a passion for crafting exceptional products that empower small business owners.
- Exceptional organizational abilities, enabling the management of multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining forward momentum.
- Independent working capabilities and comfort in navigating uncertainty.
- A BA/BS degree from a recognized institution is preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in workers compensation insurance is required, with a focus on product management, underwriting, or actuarial roles.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and provide valuable insights for the expansion of the product line.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential.

Compensation And Benefits
The salary range for this full-time position is \(127,000 to \)171,000 USD, commensurate with skills, experience, and education. In addition, employees have the opportunity to participate in our equity incentive program and enjoy a robust benefits package, including a partially subsidized medical plan, fully subsidized vision and dental options, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) plan, flexible paid time off, parental leave, and more.
